Jon Gehman, an accomplished metalsmith, designer, and bicycle enthusiast, launched Red Barn Bicycle Accessories in 2009. He quickly gained critical acclaim for his reproduction roadster racks and other custom fabrications. Bicycle aficionado and renowned blogger Constance Winters provided design assistance and featured his work on her website, The Lovely Bicycle. Over the next few years, orders continued to roll in, and Jon worked hard to fulfill them, while maintaining his day job. Over time it became apparent that demand for Red Barn racks had out-grown the one man show. So, Jon assembled a team of friends and fellow craftsmen and began Red Barn Bicycle Cooperative.
